Dr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  After obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry he did a residency at the Optometric Center of New York.  He has practiced and lived in the South Shore area since then. 

For many years he has been an adjunct faculty member of the New England College of Optometry and is currently an attending Optometrist at the Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital. He is member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry (MSO) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).  His outside interests include computers and photography.
